Fishing diary & bottom mapping

Remember what worked. Return with a plan.

Rybka keeps your sessions, catches, spots and bottom maps together, so you can return to a water knowing where you fished and what worked—even without a signal.

The App Store and Google Play links will appear here at launch.

Fishing diary

Keep the whole session, not just the catch.

A session keeps the water, sector and dates together. Log each catch while the details are fresh—time, species, weight, fishing spot and notes—and see the session totals build as you fish.

  • Plan one day or a date range
  • Keep one session active at a time
  • Link each catch to a saved fishing spot
  • Review fish count, total and average weight, and bigfish

Bottom mapping

Turn your own readings into a map you can return to.

Aim five casting lines at visible landmarks. Add distance, depth and bottom type from your marker casts, save the spots worth fishing, and reuse or copy the map when you return to that sector.

Landmarks

Name a visible tree, reed bed, pier or another reliable reference.

Casting lines

Five fixed directions keep every reading and spot organised.

Bottom readings

Save distance, depth, bottom type and an optional note.

Fishing spots

Number each spot, keep its distance and optional depth, and link catches to it.

Statistics

Review one session. See patterns across them all.

Open a session to review its fish count, weights, species and spot performance. Then compare your wider history across a chosen period, all waters, one water or one sector.

  • Review fish count, total weight, average and bigfish
  • See which spots produced catches in a session
  • Filter your history by period, water or sector
  • Compare top catches, species mix and catch activity

Offline

No signal required.

Rybka reads and saves waters, sectors, sessions, catches and maps in the local database on your device, so the core app remains usable at remote swims.

Stored on your device

No mobile coverage needed for the core fishing record

How it works

Before, during and after the session.

Rybka follows the same rhythm as a fishing trip.

  1. 01

    Prepare the water

Choose a water and sector, then create a new bottom map or copy one you already know.

  2. 02

    Record the session

Plan the dates, keep the session active and log catches, readings and spots while you fish.

  3. 03

    Review what worked

Check the session result, then compare patterns across a period, water or sector.

FAQ

What to know before you take Rybka to the water.

Is Rybka only for carp fishing?

No. Any angler can use Rybka as a fishing diary. Its detailed bottom mapping, reusable spots and weight-based statistics are especially useful for carp fishing.

How does bottom mapping work—do I need sonar or GPS?

No. Rybka does not map automatically and does not use sonar or GPS. You aim five casting lines at visible landmarks and enter distance, depth and bottom type from your own casts.

Can I use Rybka without mobile coverage?

Yes. Rybka reads and saves waters, sectors, sessions, catches and bottom maps in the local database on your device, so the core app works without a signal.

Can I restore or sync my records on another device?

Not through Rybka yet. The current app has no account, cloud sync or guaranteed cross-device restore. Device backups may behave differently, so keep any separate record you need before deleting the app, resetting a device or changing phones.

Ready for the next session

Start the next session with what you learned.

Keep your sessions, spots, catches and bottom maps together in one fishing diary that works without a signal.
